Tactical First-Aid (Official Emergency Medical Responder Certification)

Time is critical and even more so when it concerns a medical emergency. The Golden-Hour is a time period lasting for one hour, or less, following traumatic injury, during which there is the highest likelihood that prompt medical treatment will prevent death. It is well established that the patient's chances of survival are greatest if they receive care within this Golden-Hour.

Our Tactical First-Aid course offers not only medical training equivalent to our nation’s First Responder's but also follows the National guidelines set forth by the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards. This course follows the NSC Emergency Medical Response Program and Guidelines and has been designed using extensive research and educational testing to improve skill mastery and retention over the long-term. This comprehensive course is taught in a dynamic and hands-on way with industry-leading curriculum and content from the expert in occupational first aid training.

Participants will learn how to:
•	Recognize a medical emergency
•	Handle breathing and cardiac emergencies
•	Assess patients
•	Address airway and breathing emergencies, including training on ventilation devices and oxygen
•	Respond to cardiac emergencies, including CPR and automated external defibrillation training
•	Treat illness and injury, including medical emergencies, such as bleeding and shock, soft-tissue injuries, and muscle, bone, head and spinal injuries
•	Perform remote-location first aid and EMS Operations 
•	Respond to childbirth scenarios

Class comprises of two full class days (7 hours) and one review and test day (4/5 hours).  The first class will comprise where students receiving their book and DVD while undergoing the first lecture and exercises (6/16/18).  The second class utilizes lessons learned into application of responses through hands-on exercises in various situations and scenarios (6/30/18).  Th final day will consist of a Q&A as review and ultimately final test for certification (7/14/18).
